Record Store Day // 04.16.2016

Last Saturday was a sunny afternoon for the ages!

It was Carpe Diem's second year participating in Record Store Day and we teamed up with several local businesses to make it a success. We hosted an all day music festival next door at The Legendary Kimbro's Pickin' Parlor. There were live, local performances all day long both inside and out back. Our outdoor stage was surrounded with colorful chalk art from our 'Little Bros' and the playful screams of those competing in corn hole. 

Here we have our owner, Will Jordan, and one of our favorite bartenders and performers, Aaron Paul serving up some cold brews and delicious food. 

One of our favorite regular vinyl rummagers brought her little ones to help pick out some old soundtracks and enjoy the day with us. 

Our kitchen staff was busy all day serving up delicious pizzas and good times. 

The sun was shining some good vibes down on us. 

And we were all rocking our new gear by Twine Graphics, making us feel as cool as we looked. 

The night ended with a giveaway of this special Dogfish Head x Crosley record player. 

In fact, we still have some of these custom #rsd16 tanks left over. We all got a head start on our summer tans this past Saturday. 

Thank you all who came out, for supporting Franklin's first record shop. Thank you to our local businesses who work together to keep Franklin thriving. We hope to host several more of these outdoor music events all summer long. This is only the beginning, so cheers to great music, cold beer, and good vibes.
